Four days on the crown alone
The fur is chosen a hide at a time and the crown is worked by hand. Neither part can be hurried, which is most of the reason there is only one bag.

The crown is embroidered, not printed
Every crown is worked in raised bullion thread on a backing that is set into the face rather than laid on top of it. The volutes are stitched in passes, the beads and crystals are set one at a time, and the whole emblem is bordered so the edge cannot lift.
It takes about four days. A printed or heat pressed crown takes minutes and looks close enough in a photograph, which is exactly why the difference only shows up years later.
Built to be opened
The lining is stitched so it can be taken out and replaced. The zip is a standard size we will keep stocking. Nothing inside the bag is glued shut, because the first thing to wear on a bag carried every week is never the part you can see.
That is the whole design brief: a bag you maintain rather than replace. The one your son carries at his own aufruf should be this one.
Names go inside
We embroider a name, a date or both into the lining rather than across the face. A name on the outside dates a bag to one simcha. Inside, it becomes a record of who carried it, and there is room for more than one.
Five colourways
Onyx, Midnight, Ash, Olivewood and Ivory: the same bag and the same crown, five furs. See them on the home page, where the room changes colour with the bag.
